TOURS

Day 1: Lima – Arrival – hotel.

At your arrival in Lima International Airport (at any time) you will be met by one of our representatives and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 2: Lima - Cusco by plane. City Tour+4 ruins nearby.

Early in the morning, transfer from hotel to the airport for flight to Cusco (1 hour). At your arrival in Cusco assistance and transfer to your selected hotel. Free time to take a short rest to be acclimatized to the altitude.

02:00 pm,City Tour of Cuzco visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha.Then, drive out of the city to visit the 4 ruins nearby: Kenko, Puca Pucara Tambomachay and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built strategically on a hill overlooking Cusco; famous for its enormous carved stones joined with astounding precision to form the outer walls. Some of these stones stand over 9m / 30ft tall and weight over 350 tons. Overnight in selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 3: Cusco - Sacred valley of the incas (B) (L)

09:00 am, after breakfast, excursion to the "Sacred Valley of the Incas", a succession of picturesque towns, agricultural terraces and archaeological sites. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, we’ll have the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll at the Pisac's typical Indian market, with a catholic mass service on Sunday (celebrated in Quechua, the native language). Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon pass through Calca and Urubamba towns to arrive to the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo. which was built to guard the entry of this part of the valley and protect it from enemies of the lower jungle.

On our way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque Andean village of Chinchero. Admire its well preserved Inca Wall at the Main Square, visit the beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations, with interesting frescoes on the portico. Back to Cusco in the afternoon. Overnight.

Day 4: Cusco – Machu Picchu (B) (L)

06:00 am, transfer to Cusco train station for a three hours train ride to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Get down the train in Aguas Calientes station for a 30-minutes drive climbing a 6km of winding road to reach the marvelous citadel. Upon arrival, guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial (the greatest Intiwatana), the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows and various burial grounds. Time free to stroll by the archeological site. Lunch at a restaurant at Aguas Calientes town. Late afternoon return to Cusco. Overnight .

Day 5: Cusco – Lima – Iquitos : by plane (B)

Morning : Free Afternoon: At the indicated hour transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima Airport, assistance and connexion by plane to Iquitos. At your arrival in Iquitos Airport, assistance and transfer to the city, you will briefly sightsee the tourist highlights of Iquitos along the way. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 6: Iquitos – Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge( B) (L) (D)

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the river wharf Speed boat trip on the Amazon, the world’s largest river. During the trip, you will see the magnificence of the Amazon, the exuberance of the jungle and the picturesque villages appearing on the shores with their particular color and joy. Arrival and accommodation in the Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge located 45 minutes from Iquitos. The native-style lodge built with natural materials is upon high ground, surrounded by trees, plants and flowers, where birds and butterflies roam. Refreshing “welcome drink”.

Ecocultural Circuit (The Sinchicuy Watershed Ecosystem)

Short walk or canoe ride in the afternoon –depending on the season- to “Nuevo Peru” where a Yagua community has established.Lunch at the Amazonas Sinchicuy. In the afternoon, guided ethnobotanic walk. You will be able to identify species of the Amazon plant kingdom (Cat’s Claw, Sour Cane, Copaiba, Aguaje and even Ayahuasca, the hallucinogen vine).Visit the local “shaman” who will explain about the marvelous healing properties and use of some of these plants and roots. Tour the Santa María del Ojeal farmlands..Observe the beautiful sunset on the Amazon River.Evening canoe ride or walk to SENSE THE JUNGLE AFTER DARK. Dinner.Tales and legends from the rich Amazon myths told by the guides.

Day 07: Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge/Tambo Yanayacu Lodge/Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge(B-L-D)

Birdwatching during the morning early hours (before 6 am.).Breakfast at the Amazonas Sinchicuy.

Flora and Fauna Circuit (The Yanayacu Watershed Ecosystem)After breakfast you will motorboat to the opposite side of the Amazon River. During the trip you might spot river dolphins, main characters of fantastic tales and legends of the Amazon Myths.See typical riverside landscape plantations.Walk on tropical rainforest trail and boat or canoe on the Yanayacu River to the Tambo Yanayacu Lodge located in the “Kingdom of the Giant Trees”.Watch the rich avian fauna of the area.See the diverse medicinal plants, epiphyte plants (bromeliads) growing high on the trees, and giant flora like the “lupuna” or ceiba tree species over 150-feet high.Search for primates and sloths that mimetize with the forest canopy.Lunch at the Tambo Yanayacu (38 Miles NE of Iquitos).Native-style fishing on the river or piranhas and other species.Return to the Amazonas Sinchicuy in the afternoon.After a few minutes to rest in the Amazonas Sinchicuy, you will be part of the reforestation program activity Plant-a-Tree in an area near the lodge.Dinner at the Amazonas Sinchicuy.Overnight.

Day 08: Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge/Iquitos/LIMA.(B-L)

Breakfast at the Amazonas Sinchicuy.Excursion to an Amazon River village.Lunch at the Amazonas Sinchicuy. Return by boat in the afternoon to Iquitos and transferred back to the airport at a convenient time to board your flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima, assistance and transfer to the selected hotel.

Day 09: Lima: City Tour. (B).

After breakfast, we will take a Lima City Tour (4 hrs aprox.), visiting the called “City of the Kings”, with the colonial area, visiting the San Martin Square, Plaza Mayor, the Gobernament Palace, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Convent, San Francisco Convent with the famous “Catacombs”; also the modern Lima, where you will see El Olivar Park in San Isidro and Larcomar in Miraflores with a spectacular view to the Pacific Ocean. Overnight at selected hotel.

Day 10: Lima: International flight. (B)

At convenient hour transfer to the airport for international flight.
